The Ford Maverick is a compact car manufactured and marketed by Ford for model years 1970–1977 in the United States, originally as a two-door sedan employing a rear-wheel drive platform original to the 1960 Falcon — and subsequently as a four-door sedan on the same platform. The Maverick was also manufactured in Venezuela, Canada, Mexico, and from 1970 to 1979, in Brazil. The is a series of full-size SUVs manufactured by Nissan in Japan and sold throughout the world. The Patrol has been available as either a short-wheelbase (SWB) three-door or a long-wheelbase (LWB) five-door chassis since 1951. The LWB version has been offered in pickup truck and cab chassis variants. Between 1988 and 1994, Ford Australia marketed the Patrol as the Ford Maverick. In some European countries, such as Spain, the Patrol was marketed by Ebro as the Ebro Patrol. Button Car Plan
The Button car plan, also known as the Button plan, was the informal name given to the Motor Industry Development Plan, an Australian federal (Labor) government initiative intended to rationalise the Australian motor vehicle industry and transition it to lower levels of protection. It took its name from Senator John Button, the then federal Minister for Commerce, Trade and Industry. Initial planning Industry consultation began in mid-1983 and the scheme was announced in mid-1984. It came into effect in 1985, after Senator Button visited Japan to inform the car companies there of the content of the plan. Nissan Terrano II
The Nissan Terrano II (known as the in Japan) is a compact SUV manufactured by the Japanese automaker Nissan from 1993 to 2005. It was also made by Nissan's Spanish subsidiary '' Nissan Motor Ibérica S.A.'' for the European market, where it was marketed as the Terrano II, and also supplied under an OEM agreement to Ford Europe for sale as the Ford Maverick on the continent and in the United Kingdom. Ford Escape
The Ford Escape is a compact crossover SUV sold by Ford since 2000 over four generations. The first generation was jointly developed with Mazda which also created the Mazda Tribute and Mercury Mariner as the twin model. Second generations of the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, and Mazda Tribute were released in 2007 for the 2008 model year, but mostly restricted to North America. In other markets, the first generation models were either replaced by updated first generation versions, or replaced by the Mazda CX-7 (2006) and Ford Kuga (2008). Ford Maverick (2022)
The Ford Maverick is a four-door, five-passenger, compact crew cab pickup truck manufactured and marketed by Ford Motor Company. It was unveiled on June 8, 2021 as Ford's smallest truck. Using a front-wheel drive-based unibody platform shared with the Ford Escape and Bronco Sport, the pickup's powertrain offerings include a standard full hybrid engine or an optional conventional turbo engine, the latter available with all-wheel drive.
