Forbidden Women (1959 Film)
Forbidden Women (aliases: ''Nisa Muharramat'' arz, نساء محرمات, translit.''Nesaa Moharramat'' or ''Nessa Muharramat'') is a 1959 Egyptian drama film starring Salah Zulfikar, Huda Sultan, and directed by Mahmoud Zulfikar. Plot Tawfiq is a wealthy man who works as a contractor. He was married to Hafiza and they did not have any children, so he adopts Ahmed, who manages his business later. Ahmed became involved in an affair with a playful woman named Mahasin. By chance, Tawfiq meets Mahasen through one of the matchmakers. The situation gets worse when Mahasen becomes pregnant with Ahmed at the same time which he desires her daughter, Laila, without knowing that she is Mahasen's daughter. Mahmoud Zulfikar
Mahmoud Qasdy Ahmed Mourad Zulfikar (18 February 1914 – 22 May 1970) was an Egyptian film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He started his career as an architect, before becoming an actor in 1939. He was a major figure in Egyptian film industry. Zulfikar was one of the most prominent artists in the Egyptian cinema, he was known for his boldness and adventure with the new talents he presented to the Egyptian audience, later, he was nicknamed the "Talent Finder". Zulfikar was able to go beyond the limits of the film location with accurate calculations and through his imaginations, he could make his scripts alive. Hussein Riad
Hussein Mohamed Shafiq ( ar, حسين محمد شفيق, more commonly known by his stage name Hussein Riad ( ar, حسين رياض , (1897–1965) was an Egyptian actor, who mainly played "dad roles". His career spanned about 46 years and he appeared in approximately 320 films, 240 theater plays, and 150 radio and 50 TV plays. Early life Riad was born "Hussein Mohamed Shafiq" ( ar, حسين محمد شفيق in 1897 in the Al-Sayeda Zaynab district of Cairo, Egypt, to an Egyptian father and a Syrian mom. He later changed his name to ''Hussein Riad''. His brother was into acting too, he was the artist Mohamed Fouad (known by his stage name Fouad Shafiq). Salah Zulfikar (1926-1993) was an Egyptian actor and film producer, who appeared in over 100 feature films, several short films, stage, television and Radio serials. Zulfikar‘s film debut was in 1956 in a leading role becoming one of the most dominant leading men in Egyptian cinema. He starred in action, crime, war, drama, horror, romance, and romantic comedies. Salah Zulfikar’s film debut was in ''Wakeful Eyes'' (1956) alongside Shadia. Widad Hamdi
Widad Hamdi ( ar, وداد حمدى) was an Egyptian actress. She starred in over 600 films during her lifetime, and almost all her roles were as a servant or maid. Early life and career Hamdi was born on March 7, 1924, in Kafr El-Sheikh, Egypt. She studied at the Institute of Representation and graduated after two years. Hamdi started her career as a singer. Her first film was Henry Barakat's ''This Was My Father's Crime'' (1945). She worked with the Egyptian National Troupe on several plays. Hamdi retired in the sixties but was called out of retirement to work on the play ''Tamr Henna''. Hamdi was married 3 times, to composer Muhammad al-Mougy and actors Salaah Kabeel and Muhammad al-Toukhy. Death Hamdi was killed in 1994. She was stabbed 35 times in the neck, chest, and abdomen. Her killer was convicted and later, executed. She died with very little money to her name. Salah El Din Ahmed Mourad Zulfikar ( ar, صلاح ذو الفقار; ; 18 January 1926 – 22 December 1993) was an Egyptian actor and film producer. He started his career as a police officer in the Egyptian National Police, before becoming an actor in 1956. He is regarded as one of the most influential actors in the history of Egyptian film industry. Zulfikar had roles in more than hundred feature films in multiple genres during a 37-year career, mostly as the leading actor. In 1996, in the centenary of Egyptian cinema, ten of his films as an actor and five of his films as a producer were listed in the Top hundred Egyptian films of the 20th century.
