For the Love of God is a 2007 award-winning short animation starring Steve Coogan and Ian McKellen, directed by Joe Tucker, and produced at the National Film & Television School. The film tells the story of Graham, a man living under the glare of his overbearing mother in their Christian bookshop, who wants to have sex with God. Steve Coogan
Stephen John Coogan (; born 14 October 1965) is an English actor, comedian, producer and screenwriter. He is most known for creating original characters such as Alan Partridge, a socially inept and politically incorrect media personality, which he developed while working with Armando Iannucci on '' On the Hour'' and ''The Day Today''.
