''For the Working Class Man'' is the second studio album by former Cold Chisel frontman Jimmy Barnes, released in December 1985. The album consists of five original tracks and seven remixed tracks that had previously been released on Barnes' 1984 debut album '' Bodyswerve''. Details ''For the Working Class Man'' (re-titled ''Jimmy Barnes'' for the international market—after the original title of ''A Week Away from Paradise'' was scrapped—with a slightly altered track listing and different cover artwork) was specifically geared toward securing Barnes a break into the American music market by Geffen. James Dixon "Jimmy" Barnes (née Swan; born 28 April 1956) is a Scottish-born Australian rock singer. His career, both as a solo performer and as the lead vocalist with the rock band Cold Chisel, has made him one of the most popular and best-selling Australian music artists of all time. Barnes has achieved 15 solo number one albums in Australia, more than any other artist. Additionally Barnes achieved 5 more as lead singer of Cold Chisel, bringing his combined sum to 20 number one albums in Australia, comfortably eclipsing the Beatles (with 14), Madonna (12), Eminem and U2 (11). "No Second Prize" is the debut single by Scottish-born Australian rock musician Jimmy Barnes, released in August 1984 as the lead single from his debut studio album, ''Bodyswerve''. It peaked at number 12 on the Australian Kent Music Report. The song was originally demoed by Cold Chisel but never recorded by them. ''Working Class Man'' is the 2017 memoir by Jimmy Barnes, and sequel to his 2016 '' Working Class Boy''. On 3 May 2018, Barnes won the biography of the year at the Australian Book Industry Awards for the second year in a row. Anthony Lawrence Carey (born October 16, 1953, Watsonville, California) is an American-born, European-based musician, composer, producer, and singer/songwriter. One of his earliest musical experiences was as a keyboardist for Rainbow. ''Gung Ho'' (released in Australia as ''Working Class Man'') is a 1986 American comedy film directed by Ron Howard and starring Michael Keaton. The story portrayed the takeover of an American car plant by a Japanese corporation (although the title is an Americanized Chinese expression, for "work" and "together").
