For Love Not Lisa
For Love Not Lisa was an American hard rock band formed in the early 1990s in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They were signed to East West Records and Tooth & Nail Records. They released two albums in the 1990s before disbanding in 1996. History For Love Not Lisa was formed in 1990 by vocalist and guitarist Mike Lewis and guitarist and vocalist Mike Miles. They recruited Matt Hillbin on bass guitar and Kent Euing on drums to round out the lineup for their early shows. In 1991, Kevin Jeffries replaced Hillbin on bass and Eric Myers replaced Euing on drums. The new lineup released a demo, ''For Love Not Lisa'', in 1992. It contained four live songs and four studio songs. Their first major tour was as an opener for Rage Against the Machine. The band then signed to East West Records. The following year, another lineup shift happened, as Aaron Preston (from the band Chainsaw Kittens) replaced Myers on drums. The Crow (soundtrack)
The soundtrack to the superhero film '' The Crow'' was released in 1994. Album information The album featured covers, including Nine Inch Nails who covered Joy Division's "Dead Souls", Pantera who covered Poison Idea's "The Badge", and Rollins Band who covered Suicide's "Ghost Rider", which is about a Marvel Comics character. Rage Against the Machine re-recorded their 1991 B-side "Darkness of Greed" and renamed it "Darkness" for this soundtrack. My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult re-recorded their original song, "Nervous Xians" and re-titled it, "After the Flesh" for this film. They were also the band onstage during the nightclub shootout scene. The Cure also wrote the song "Burn" for the movie. Stone Temple Pilots originally intended to re-record a song off their ''Mighty Joe Young'' demo, titled "Only Dying", but instead chose to submit the track "Big Empty" to the project when Brandon Lee was accidentally killed on-set during production. Bruce Fitzhugh is the second and best known lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and founding member of Arkansas's Christian metal band Living Sacrifice. The lead vocalist role was left to Bruce shortly after the departure of former lead Darren Johnson and prior to the recording of Living Sacrifice's 1997 album, ''Reborn''.
