Footwork FA16
The Footwork FA16 was a Formula One car designed by Alan Jenkins and used by the Footwork team in the 1995 Formula One World Championship. The car was powered by a Hart 3-litre V8 engine and ran on Goodyear tyres. It was driven initially by Italian Gianni Morbidelli, who was in his second season with the team, and Japanese pay-driver Taki Inoue. Another Italian, Max Papis, replaced Morbidelli in mid-season due to the team's financial problems. Development The FA16 was a developed version of the FA15. It proved to be initially quite competitive, but the team lacked the budget to carry out testing and development. The chassis was not the weak link, but the Hart engine was down on power and unreliable. Arrows Grand Prix International was a British Formula One team active from to . It was known as Footwork from 1991 to 1996. Origins The Arrows Grand Prix International team was founded in Milton Keynes, England in November 1977, by Italian businessman Franco Ambrosio, Alan Rees, former racing driver Jackie Oliver, Dave Wass and Tony Southgate (the team deriving its name from the initials of their surnames) when they left the Shadow team. The team was formed and appeared on the grid for their first race at the 1978 Brazilian Grand Prix, all within three months. Arrows signed Gunnar Nilsson and Riccardo Patrese to drive, but Nilsson had been diagnosed with cancer shortly afterwards. His failing health caused Rolf Stommelen to take his place. Tyrrell Racing
The Tyrrell Racing Organisation was an auto racing team and Formula One constructor founded by Ken Tyrrell (1924–2001) which started racing in 1958 and started building its own cars in 1970. The team experienced its greatest success in the early 1970s, when it won three Drivers' Championships and one Constructors' Championship with Jackie Stewart. The team never reached such heights again, although it continued to win races through the 1970s and into the early 1980s, taking the final win for the Ford Cosworth DFV engine at Detroit in 1983. The team was bought by British American Tobacco in 1997 and completed its final season as Tyrrell in 1998. 1995 Hungarian Grand Prix
The 1995 Hungarian Grand Prix (formally the XI Marlboro Magyar Nagydij) was a Formula One motor race held on 13 August 1995 at the Hungaroring, Mogyoród, Pest, Hungary. It was the tenth race of the 1995 Formula One World Championship. The 77-lap race was won by Damon Hill, driving a Williams-Renault. Hill took his third victory of the season after starting from pole position, leading all 77 laps and setting the fastest race lap. Teammate David Coulthard finished second, with Gerhard Berger third in a Ferrari. The Jordan team were waiting on the pitwall for Rubens Barrichello to claim 3rd place, however his engine died on the last corner, and he crawled to the line in 7th. The 1995 Monaco Grand Prix (formally the LIII Grand Prix de Monaco) was a Formula One motor race held on 28 May 1995 at the Circuit de Monaco, Monte Carlo, Monaco. It was the fifth round of the 1995 Formula One season. The 78-lap race was won by Michael Schumacher for the Benetton team after starting from second position. Damon Hill finished second for Williams after starting from pole position and leading the first 23 laps of the race, ahead of Gerhard Berger in a Ferrari car. 1995 Canadian Grand Prix
The 1995 Canadian Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on 11 June 1995 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal. It was the sixth race of the 1995 Formula One season. It produced the only Grand Prix victory for French driver Jean Alesi. This was seen as a popular victory, as Alesi had waited over five years for a victory and he was driving the red number 27 Ferrari, as driven by Canadian Gilles Villeneuve. Adding to the victory was the fact that the win also occurred on Alesi's 31st birthday. This race also marked the last time to date that a Grand Prix was won by a car with a V12 engine, as well as the only race of the season won by a non-Renault-powered car. The 1995 Australian Grand Prix (officially the LX EDS Australian Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held on 12 November 1995 at the Adelaide Street Circuit, Adelaide. The race, contested over 81 laps, was the seventeenth and final race of the 1995 Formula One season, and the eleventh and last Australian Grand Prix to be held at Adelaide before the event moved to Melbourne the following year. This would also prove to be the last Grand Prix for Mark Blundell, Bertrand Gachot, Roberto Moreno, Taki Inoue and Karl Wendlinger.
