Foots Clement
Charles Baxter "Foots" Clement (June 12, 1904 – February 27, 1976) was a college football player and prominent Memphis businessman. He was posthumously inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 1989. University of Alabama Clement was a prominent tackle for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team of the University of Alabama from 1928 to 1930. He wore a size 14 shoe. Rover is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Yell County, Arkansas, United States. Rover is located on Arkansas Highway 28, west-southwest of Plainview. Rover has a post office with ZIP code 72860. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 159. Facilities There is a small automotive/mechanical repair business, a church, and a local city water office. The only store is a small grocery with gasoline and diesel available. Rover is close to Nimrod Lake, which has swimming areas and freshwater fishing. 1930 Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team
The 1930 Alabama Crimson Tide football team (variously "Alabama", "UA" or "Bama") represented the University of Alabama in the 1930 college football season. It was the Crimson Tide's 37th overall and 9th season as a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon). The team was led by head coach Wallace Wade, in his eighth year, and played their home games at Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, at Legion Field in Birmingham, and at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. They finished the season with a perfect record (10–0 overall, 8–0 in the SoCon), as Southern Conference champions and as national champions after they defeated Washington State in the Rose Bowl. The Central Press Association was American newspaper syndication company based in Cleveland, Ohio. It was in business from 1910 to 1971. The 1928 Alabama Crimson Tide football team (variously "Alabama", "UA" or "Bama") represented the University of Alabama in the 1928 college football season.
