Footballers Wives
''Footballers' Wives'' is a British television drama about fictional Premier League Association football, football club Earls Park F.C., its players, and their wives, broadcast on ITV (TV network), ITV from 2002 to 2006. The show initially focuses on three very different couples, but from the third series onward revolves around a complex love triangle between Tanya Turner (Zöe Lucker), Amber Gates (Laila Rouass), and Conrad Gates (Ben Price). The show has earned a cult following since its cancellation and launched on BritBox in 2021. Background The show is centred on the fictional Earls Park Football Club (nicknamed "Sparks"). Maureen Chadwick is a British screenwriter, dramatist and television producer responsible, alone and with her writing partner Ann McManus, for a number of popular award-winning and sometimes controversial British television series including '' Bad Girls'' (1999–2006), ''Footballers' Wives'' (2002–2006) and '' Waterloo Road'' (2006–2015, 2022–present).
