Football (soccer)
Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into a rectangular framed goal defended by the opposing side. Sitra Club ( ar, نادي سترة الثقافي والرياضي) is a sports club based in Sitra, Bahrain. The club was established in 1957. The main activities are Association football, football and basketball. The basketball and football teams competes in the Bahraini Premier League (basketball), Bahraini Premier League. The previous chairman was Mr. Ali Al-Sawad for 10 years of services. The Board members was Ebrahim Al-Khudran, Essam Al-Jazeeri, Jalil Al-Jarmal, Jaffar Al-Jazeeri, Abdula Ameer Salman and Fuad Hassan. Qalali Club
Galali (in local dialect) or Qalali in Classical Arabic ( ar, قلالي) is a small area in the Kingdom of Bahrain, located on Muharraq Island, north of Muharraq City. Galali used to be the farthest north point of Bahrain before the development of the manmade artificial islands of Amwaj Islands. Around 2000 people used to live in Galali (1991 census). Today, Galali is 16 times bigger than it was 25 years ago because of reclamation of sea. The inhabitants of the village are mostly Sunni Arabs, Arabized Persians, and African-Bahrainis. Before the discovery of oil in Bahrain, most of the town's inhabitants were seamen who were involved in the pearl diving and fishing industry. Between 1920 and 1925 many people got infected with plague that was the reason that led to the migration of population and make it empty, but after several years they have come back. Al-Muharraq Sports Club ( ar, نادي المحرق الرياضي) is a Bahraini professional football club based in Muharraq. It is one of the oldest sports clubs in the Arabian Peninsula. Al-Muharraq Sports Club has won the Bahraini Premier League 33 times. Al-Muharraq Sports Club also takes part in other sports like futsal, basketball, bowling and volleyball. Manama Club
Manama Club ( ar, المنامة) is a Bahraini professional football club, founded in 1946 and based in Manama, that competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of Bahraini football. Manama Club, formally known as Al Taj, is a well-known basketball club in the Gulf and Asia. They have two Gulf Championships, and were the first-ever Bahraini club and second-ever Gulf club to come in third place in the 2000 ABC Champions Cup. Manama Club has won over 45 titles in domestic competitions. The club is not as successful in football, however they won their first two titles, the Bahraini King's Cup and Bahraini Super Cup, in 2017. Isa Town ( ar, مدينة عيسى, ''Madīnat ʿĪsā'') is a middle class town located in Bahrain, in the north central part of the country. Etymology The name ''Isa'' refers to Isa ibn Salman Al Khalifah, the ruler of Bahrain from 1961 to 1999.
