Football At The 2004 Summer Olympics – Men's Tournament
The men's football tournament at the 2004 Summer Olympics was held in Athens and four other cities in Greece from 11 to 28 August. The tournament featured 16 men's national teams from the six continental confederations. The 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four, in which each team would play each of the others once. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the knockout stage, beginning with the quarter-finals and culminating with the final at Athens' Olympic Stadium (Athens), Olympic Stadium on 28 August 2004. Massimo De Santis
Massimo De Santis (born 8 April 1962) is an Italian former association football referee. De Santis was born in Tivoli, Lazio. In addition to being a former referee, he is also a former police constable. De Santis speaks Italian and English. His first international game was on 1 January 2000. Carlos Manuel Torres Núñez (born January 27, 1970) is retired Paraguayan football referee who was a listed international referee from 1998 to 2012. Jorge Luis Larrionda Pietrafesa (born 9 March 1968) is a retired FIFA football referee from Uruguay who has officiated at international matches since 1998.
