Fonua Pole (born 2 June 2002) is a professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Wests Tigers in the NRL. Background Pole was born in Wellington, New Zealand, and raised in Victoria. He was educated at Mount Ridley College, Craigieburn playing Australian rules football in his youth before his mum encouraged him to play his junior rugby league for the Sunbury Tigers. He said, "It started to become a bit of an issue because mum didn’t like that in AFL most of the games and trainings were on Sundays, when she always wanted us to go to church." Graduating through the Victorian Thunderbolts system, he was spotted by Wests Tigers playing for a Combined Affiliated States side at the Australian Schoolboys Championships. New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand Warriors are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership and is the League's only team from outside Australia. They were formed in 1995 as the Auckland Warriors, and are officially known as the One New Zealand Warriors for sponsorship reasons. The Warriors are coached by Andrew Webster and captained by Tohu Harris. The Warriors are based at Mount Smart Stadium in the Auckland suburb of Penrose. For the 1995 season the newly formed Auckland Warriors became the first club from outside Australia to be admitted to the Australian Rugby League's premiership when it expanded from 16 to 20 teams. James Tamou
James Tamou (born 13 December 1988) is an Australia international professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League. He previously played for the North Queensland Cowboys and was a member of their 2015 NRL Grand Final winning side, the Penrith Panthers where he captained them to the 2020 NRL Grand Final, and the Wests Tigers where he also captained. He has played at representative level for the NRL Allstars, NSW City and New South Wales in the State of Origin series. He has also played for the New Zealand Maori at international level. NRL Victoria (abbreviated as NRLVic, and formerly the Victorian Rugby League) is responsible for administering the game of rugby league in the Australian state of Victoria (Australia), Victoria. Victoria is an Affiliated State of the overall Australian governing body the National Rugby League. The VRL commenced in 1952 and has been running each year since. NRL Victoria solely administers the Melbourne Rugby League, Storm Premiership in Melbourne, the Sunraysia-Riverlands Rugby League, and the Murray Cup Rugby League competitions. Wests Tigers
The Wests Tigers are an Australian professional Rugby league, rugby league football team, based in the Inner West and South West Sydney. They have competed in the National Rugby League since being formed at the end of the 1999 NRL season as a joint-venture club between the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Wests Tigers started playing in the 2000 NRL season and they won their maiden premiership in 2005 NRL season, 2005. It is one of only two clubs (the other being the Newcastle Knights) that has never lost a Grand Final in which it has participated.
