Fons Van De Vijver
Alphonsius Josephus Rachel (Fons) van de Vijver (4 October 1952 – 1 June 2019) was a Dutch psychologist and Professor of Cross-cultural Psychology at Tilburg University, North-West University, University of Queensland, and National Research University Higher School of Economics. He was known for his work on cross-cultural research and on methods of comparisons. Van de Vijver was born in Koewacht on 4 October 1952. He received both his MA and in 1991 his PhD in Psychology from Tilburg University. He was appointed Professor of Cross-cultural Psychology at Tilburg University, and was also Professor at the North-West University in South Africa and the University of Queensland in Australia. In 2013, he received the APA Award for Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of Psychology. Koewacht
Koewacht is a village on the border between the Netherlands and Belgium. The village consists of two parts; a Dutch and a (smaller) Belgian part. Overview The Dutch part is located in Zeelandic Flanders, a part of the province of Zeeland and part of the municipality of Terneuzen. Maidenwell, Queensland
Maidenwell is a rural town and locality in the South Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Maidenwell had a population of 199 people. History Pioneer settler John King dug the first well in the district, hence the name ''Maidenwell''. Maidenwell Post Office opened in 1906 (a receiving office named Pinpinbugie had been open from 1900) and closed in 1978. Peron State School opened on 1 April 1914. In 1934, it was moved to the foot of the Maidenwell Range and was then known as Maidenwell State School. It closed on 18 March 1938. In 1939,it was relocated to south of the town of Maidenwell, reopening there on 26 March 1940, closed on 20 September 1942, and reopened on 23 August 1943.
