Follow The Money (Danish TV Series)
''Follow the Money'' ( da, Bedrag) is a Danish television financial crime thriller. The first series of ten episodes is set in the renewable energy business in Denmark. It was broadcast in Denmark in January 2016. The second series was broadcast in October–November 2016, continuing with most of the characters from the first series, but with the main focus on a bank practising P2P lending and their attempted takeover by a bank whose chair, Knud Christensen, was behind the fraud case investigated in the first season. The third series, again ten episodes, was aired in January 2019. It focuses on money laundering with two of the main characters from the previous two series. Financial thriller is a subgenre of thriller fiction in which the financial system and economy play a major role. History The novel '' The Financier'' (1912) by Theodore Dreiser displays elements of a financial thriller and is an early example of the genre. Paul Erdman helped popularize the modern financial thriller, with ''The Billion Dollar Sure Thing'' (1973). The former president of a Swiss bank, he penned the novel while in jail awaiting trial on fraud charges related to speculating in the cocoa market. Swedish ( ) is a North Germanic language spoken predominantly in Sweden and in parts of Finland. Bijan Daneshmand (born 16 August 1958) is an Iranian born-English actor and artist based in London, England. He was born in Tehran, Iran, and was sent to England for his schooling at the age of 10. Marie Askehave (born 21 November 1973) is a Danish actress and singer. She was born in Nibe, graduated from Statens Teaterskole in 2003, and since 8 July 2006 has been married to colleague David Owe.
