County Of Follett
The County of Follett is one of the 37 counties of Victoria which are part of the cadastral divisions of Australia, used for land titles. It comprises a strip in the far southwest of the state bounded by the Glenelg River (Victoria), Glenelg River to the east, South Australia to the west and Elderslie Creek to the north beyond Casterton, Victoria, Casterton. No larger towns are contained within its boundaries. The county was proclaimed in 1849. Follett Thomas
Follett Johns Thomas (21 October 1863 – 3 January 1942) was an Australian politician. He was born at Majors Creek, near Araluen in New South Wales, to Richard Uren Thomas and Mary Ann Johns. The family moved to Inverell around 1871 and Thomas attended the public school there before apprenticing to a chemist in Glen Innes. He qualified as a chemist, and also served as an alderman at Glen Innes from 1884 to 1903, as mayor in 1895, 1896, 1902 and 1903. On 30 June 1888 he married Louise Dibley Dawson, with whom he had four children. In 1903 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the Liberal member for Glen Innes, moving to Gough in 1904. Follett House
The Follett House is a historic house at 63 College Street in Burlington, Vermont. Built in 1840 for a prominent local businessman, it is the last surviving grand 19th-century lakeside mansion in the city, and one of the state's finest examples of Greek Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It has seen commercial and institutional uses since 1885. Zachary Follett (born July 3, 1987) is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at California. College career Follett began his career in football at California as a middle linebacker. He switched over to weak-side linebacker as a sophomore and then eventually to strong-side linebacker as a junior. He started 24 of 49 games over the course of his career and finished 10th on California's tackle list with 245. Roy Wilson Follett (March 21, 1887 – January 7, 1963) was an American writer known for writing the draft form of what became ''Follett's Modern American Usage'', which was unfinished at his death and was completed and edited by his friend Jacques Barzun (in collaboration with six other people who helped with the editing) and published posthumously. He was educated at Harvard and taught at Brown University. In 1921, he was one of the dedicatees of James Branch Cabell's novel '' Figures of Earth''. He also edited ''The Work of Stephen Crane'' in twelve volumes (1925–27), the first collected edition of Crane's writings. Sir William Webb Follett (2 December 179628 June 1845) was an English lawyer and politician who served as MP for Exeter (1835–1845). He served twice as Solicitor-General, in 1834-5 and 1841 and as Attorney-General in 1844. He was knighted in 1835. Martin Dewey Follett (October 8, 1826 – August 22, 1911) was a Democratic politician in the U.S. State of Ohio who was an Ohio Supreme Court Judge 1883–1887. Martin Dewey Follett was born at Enosburg, Franklin County, Vermont. In 1836 his family settled in Licking County, Ohio, where he grew up. King Follett
King Follett (or Follet; July 26, 1788 – March 9, 1844) was a Mormon elder and a close friend of Joseph Smith. An early convert to the Church of Christ in 1831, he was a police constable and was notably the last prisoner released in the 1838 Mormon War. Shortly after his death, Smith delivered a notable sermon in memory of Follett in which he introduced new teachings to members of the church which Smith founded.
