Folkestone Triennial
The Creative Folkestone Triennial is an arts festival held every three years in Folkestone, Kent, England. Site-specific artworks are commissioned for what are often unusual locations around the town, a number of works remaining in place permanently after the end of each festival as part of the permanent Creative Folkestone Artworks exhibition. The 2021 Triennial will be the first to break the usual three-year cycle following a postponement from its original 2020 dates due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Artists who have exhibited at the Triennial include Lubaina Himid, Lubiana Himid, Tracy Emin, Cornelia Parker, Martin Creed, Myles Stephens, Emma Hart (artist), Emma Hart, Antony Gormley#Major works, Sir Anthony Gormley, Andy Goldsworthy and Bob and Roberta Smith. Paloma Varga Weisz
Paloma Varga Weisz (born 1966) is a contemporary artist living in Germany, best known for her sculptures and drawings. In 2012, six of her drawings were acquired by and exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art. She lives and works in Düsseldorf. Hamish Fulton
Hamish Fulton (born 1946) is an English walking artist. Since 1972 he has only made works based on the experience of walks. He translates his walks into a variety of media, including photography, illustrations, and wall texts. His work is contained in major museums collections, such as the Tate Britain and MoMA. Since 1994 he has been creating group walks for the public. Fulton argues that 'walking is an artform in its own right' and argues for wider acknowledgement of walking art. Biography He first attended the art foundation course at Hammersmith College of Art. Richard Wentworth (artist)
Richard Wentworth (born 1947) is a British artist, curator and teacher. Life and career Wentworth was born in Samoa—then a province of New Zealand—in 1947. He studied art at Hornsey College of Art in North London from 1965, and then at the Royal College of Art where he was a contemporary of Zoë Wanamaker and Tony Scott. Between 1971 and 1987, Wentworth taught at Goldsmiths College and his influence has been claimed in the work of the Young British Artists. From 2002 to 2010, Wentworth was 'Master of Drawing' at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford University and was the head of the Sculpture department at The Royal College of Art, London from 2009 - 2011. Richard Wilson (born 24 May 1953) is an English sculptor, installation artist and musician.
