Fogo Regional Football Association
The Fogo Regional Football Association (Portuguese: ''Associação Regional de Futebol do Fogo'', abbreviation: ''ARFF'') is a football (soccer) association covering the island of Fogo. It is headquartered in the city of São Filipe, the island capital. The Fogo Premier Division is a regional championship played in Fogo Island, Cape Verde. The winner of the championship plays in the Cape Verdean football Championships of each season. Its current president is Pedro Fernandes Pires since September 2015. About the Island/Regional League's area The area includes the whole island. Organization The association also organizes and functions the Fogo Regional Championships, the Cup, the Super Cup, the Opening Tournament and now the Champions' Cup. Fogo Island Cup
The Fogo Island Cup (Portuguese: ''Taça (Copa) da Ilha do Fogo'', Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Tasa da Djarfogu'', Fogo: ''Taça da Djarfogu (Djarfogo)'' or ''Djar Fogu (Fogo)'') is a regional cup competition and is played during the season in the island of Fogo, Cape Verde, it consists of all the clubs from all the two regional divisions and are divided into about four to five rounds, for some seasons, a group stage was featured. The cup competition is organized by the Fogo Regional Football Association (Associação Regional do Fogo, ARFF). The cup winner competes in the regional super cup final in the following season when a cup winner also wins the championship, a runner-up competes. Spartak D'Aguadinha
Associação Spartak D'Aguadinha is a sports club whose football team had played in the Premier division and plays in the Fogo Island League in Cape Verde. It is based in São Filipe's subdivision of Aguadinha located next to Bila Baxo (the city center) in the island of Fogo and plays at Estádio 5 de Julho. Spartak d'Aguadinha also has a basketball, volleyball and now a futsal department. History Spartak d'Aguadinha was established in 2002, at the time it was one of the newest created in Cape Verde. The island of Fogo in Cape Verde in the westcenter of the Sotavento Islands is home to several teams and clubs. The major professional clubs is Botafogo, semi-pro teams includes Académica do Fogo and Vulcânicos, the remainder including the youth club Juventude and Spartak d'Aguadinha are amateur.
