Tianma
Tianma ( ', "heavenly horse") was a winged flying horse in Chinese folklore. It was sometimes depicted with chimerical features such as dragon scales and was at times attributed the ability to sweat blood, possibly inspired by the parasite ''Parafilaria multipapillosa'', which infected the highly sought-after Ferghana horse (大宛馬), sometimes conflated with Tianma. In the Western Zhou Empire, Tianma referred to a constellation. Tianma is also associated with Emperor Wu of Han, an aficionado of the Central Asian horse, and the famous poet Li Bo. Flying Hórses
Flying Hórses is the stage name of Canadian musician Jade Bergeron. She grew up in Sainte-Thérèse and now lives in Ottawa, Ontario. In 2013, Bergeron began writing the music that would form her debut album, ''Tölt'', released in 2015. Recorded in Reykjavík at Sundlaugin, with Sigur Rós and Björk producer Biggi Birgisson, the album was heavily influenced by trips to Iceland. The album received little attention in the mainstream press, but the title track would go on to be nominated for the Best Canadian Music Video Prism Prize in 2018. Alexandre Richard also won an award for his direction of the video at the Paris International Music Video Competition. The Flying Horse Big Band
The Flying Horse Big Band is a big band of the Jazz studies program at the University of Central Florida. Until February 2013, it was known as UCF Jazz Ensemble 1. This band has the distinction of being one of the few college groups to have both of its first two professional recordings (2011 and 2012) on the Flying Horse Records label hit the top 50 of the JazzWeek charts. The Flying Horse Big Band is under the direction of saxophonist, American jazz musician, and professor Jeff Rupert. It has played at music festivals and appears at concert halls regionally and nationally. The band debuted a new composition by Sam Rivers (jazz musician), Sam Rivers in 2005 that featured Rivers and the RIVBEA orchestra.
