"Fly Bi" is a song by British electronic music producer/DJ Teebone featuring MCs Kie and Sparks. It was initially released on Rhythm Records in 1999, then as an official single the following year on major label Warner's East West Records. The song reached No. 43 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. In November 2016, UK duo Gorgon City compiled a list of their top UK garage songs for '' Billboard'', with "Fly Bi" at #31. Teebone
Teebone is an English UK garage/ drum and bass producer and DJ, best known for the 2000 hit " Fly Bi" which features the MCs Kie and Sparks. In the 1990s, Teebone together with DJ Dextrous produced under a number of aliases including Fusion Forum and Regulators, releasing jungle and drum and bass records. In 1994, Teebone founded his label Riddim Track Records. In the late 1990s, he started producing UK garage; his biggest and most well-known track, " Fly Bi", reached No. 43 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. UK Garage
UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop, R&B, and jungle. It is defined by percussive, shuffled rhythms with syncopated hi-hats, cymbals, and snares, and may include either 4/4 house kick patterns or more irregular "2-step" rhythms. Garage tracks also commonly feature 'chopped up' and time-stretched or pitch-shifted vocal samples complementing the underlying rhythmic structure at a tempo usually around 130 BPM. UK garage encompassed subgenres such as speed garage and 2-step, and was then largely subsumed into other styles of music and production in the mid-2000s, including bassline, grime, and dubstep. Gorgon City are an English electronic music production duo consisting of two North London producers Kye "Foamo" Gibbon and Matt "RackNRuin" Robson-Scott.
