Flow (2014 Film)
''Flow'' also known in Danish as ''Ækte vare'' (meaning genuine) is a 2014 film by Danish film director Fenar Ahmad based on a screenplay by Anders Ølholm.Already known for his short films, this is Fenar Ahmad's debut long film feature. Synopsis Mikael (played by Danish rapper Gilli grew up in Brøndby Strand an impoverished large housing project area with high concentration of immigrants. Together with Tariq, Samir and Eddy, he has a dream of living making music and rapping. They are a cohesive crew that sticks together and the crew members defend each other at all costs. Mikael is the group's talent, and more serious than the others. That's what the older incumbent rapper, Apollo, sees in him. As Apollo needs help in making a comeback, he hires Mikael to write his songs. While Apollo introduces Mikael for the hub and excesses of the music world and partying, tours, abundance of ladies, his earlier friends begin to doubt Mikael's loyalty to them. Fenar Ahmad
Fenar Ahmad (in Arabic فنار أحمد) is a Danish filmmaker of Iraqi origin. He was born in 1981 in Czechoslovakia to immigrant Iraqi parents. In 1986 the family emigrated to Denmark. There he studied film in the alternative film school Super16. Ahmad is known for the award-winning 2010 short film ''Megaheavy'', co-written by Ahmad and Jacob Katz Hansen and directed by Ahmad. It won Robert Award for Best Short Fiction/Animation for 2010 during the 27th Robert Awards in Copenhagen on 7 February 2010. In 2014, Ahmad directed the long feature film '' Flow'' (also known by the Danish title ''Ækte vare'') starring Danish rapper Kian Rosenberg Larsson, better known as Gilli. Brøndby Strand (in English: 'Well Town' Beach) is a suburb in Brøndby Municipality, approximately south-west of central Copenhagen, Denmark Overview Brøndby Strand contains a large housing project, in which 8,000 of the suburb's 11,000 inhabitants live. The area is known for having various social problems: many of the inhabitants are unemployed. Oliver Chambuso (born 7 September 1992), known professionally as Kesi (), is a Danish rapper and songwriter. Kesi initially promoted himself through his own YouTube channel within the grime genre, also cooperating with others, notably Kidd and Gilli. In addition to his solo career, Kesi was a member of the hip hop group BOC (abbreviation for Bars of Crack or Bombs Over Copenhagen or Bombs Over Centrum), a Nørrebro-based group. MellemFingaMuzik is a Danish hip-hop group, consisting of rappers Stepz (Ibrahim Kucukavci) and Branco (Benjamin Cimatu). The duo started publishing materials in late 2011, after which they joined the Danish record label HideOut that also had signed up rappers Jooks and Sivas. When HideOut closed, MellemFingaMuzik started a collaboration with the newly formed label Grounded.
