Florrie Redford was an English footballer and nurse. She played for Dick, Kerr Ladies Dick, Kerr Ladies F.C. was one of the earliest known women's association football teams in England. The team remained in existence for over 48 years, from 1917 to 1965, playing 833 games, winning 759, drawing 46, and losing 28. In later life she worked as a nurse in Canada, returning to the team briefly in 1938. Early life Redford was born in Preston, Lancashire and, during the First World War, worked for Dick, Kerr & Co. producing munitions and other war supplies. During this time she and the other young women who made up the majority of the factory staff, men being largely drafted into the Army, played football during their meal breaks. ''Carmen'' () is an opera in four acts by the French composer Georges Bizet. The libretto was written by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, based on the Carmen (novella), novella of the same title by Prosper Mérimée.
