Florida State Road 7 (SR 7) is a major north–south artery in South Florida connecting U.S. Highway 41 (US 41; unsigned SR 90) in the Little Havana section of Miami with 60th Street in Loxahatchee. All but the northernmost (in and near Royal Palm Beach) is instead (or additionally) signed as US 441, and has been since 1950. Dixie Highway was a United States auto trail first planned in 1914 to connect the Midwest with the South. It was part of a system and was expanded from an earlier Miami to Montreal highway. The final system is better understood as a network of connected paved roads, rather than one single highway. It was constructed and expanded from 1915 to 1929.
