State Road 265 (SR 265) is a short north–south route in Tallahassee. Route description SR 265 runs along Magnolia Drive from U.S. Route 27 (US 27; Apalachee Parkway) north to Seventh Avenue, crossing US 90 (Tennessee Street). North of Miccosukee Road ( County Road 146 or CR 146), the road continues past Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. At the intersection with Seventh Avenue and the hospital entrance, Centerville Road continues as CR 151. History SR 265 was established by January 1980 running along the same routing it does today. By October 1993, the state highway was extended south and west along Magnolia Drive to end at SR 61 south of downtown Tallahassee. State Road 61 (SR 61) is located in the Big Bend area of Florida, running through the state capital of Tallahassee. Throughout most of its length, SR 61 is the unsigned state route assigned to U.S. Route 319. Route description SR 61 begins at US 98 as an unsigned route, heading north on US 319, until it splits off with the highway in Crawfordville and becomes County Road 61. It turns east towards Shadeville Highway (former State Road 365), where afterwards, it runs north as Wakulla Springs Road. The main, signed portion of SR 61 begins at the Leon County line, where it continues north and eventually rejoins US 319 just south of Capital Circle. Heading north towards the capitol building, it meets State Road 363 and swaps roads, with SR 61 crossing over to Crawfordville Road and continuing north as Adams Street. State Road 20 (SR 20) is a east-to-west route across northern Florida and the Florida Panhandle in the United States. Route description Okaloosa County (Niceville and Bluewater Bay) SR 20 starts at SR 85 in Niceville as John Sims Parkway, which travels to Eglin AFB East Gate through Valparaiso as westbound SR 85 and southbound SR 397. SR 20 heads slightly southeast while SR 85 goes north towards Crestview. The road shortly after intersects the southern terminus of SR 285 as it passes by Niceville High School, reducing to four lanes from six lanes. SR 20 continues straight through Niceville before turning more southeast, crossing the C.G. State Road 10 (SR 10), also known as Atlantic Boulevard, is a major east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Florida. Mostly unsigned in favor of U.S. Highway 90, it runs from the Alabama state line (Perdido River) to Atlantic Beach. The only sections that are not signed as US 90 are north of Pensacola, where US 90 uses SR 10A and SR 10 is signed as U.S. Highway 90 Alternate, and east of south Jacksonville, where US 90 uses unsigned SR 212. Route description The only signed section of SR 10 is in Jacksonville and Atlantic Beach. Signage begins at the interchange with Interstate 95 and U.S. Highway 1, where US 1 splits to the south. The components are referred to officially as state roads, abbreviated as SR. History Prior to the 1945 renumbering, State Roads were given numbers in the order they were added to the system. The 1945 renumbering removed many roads that were never built and added some that had not existed prior to 1945. In 1955, the State Road Department (SRD) slowed the addition of new state roads and began to classify roads into primary, secondary, and local roads.
