Florida's 2nd Senate District elects one member of the Florida Senate. The district currently consists of Bay, Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson, Walton, Washington counties and part of Okaloosa county in the U.S. state of Florida. The current Senator is Republican Jay Trumbull. Jay Trumbull
Jay Norbert Trumbull (born February 21, 1989) is a Republican politician who served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 6th District, which includes Panama City in southern Bay County, until 2022. He currently serves as a Senator for the 2nd district of Florida. History Trumbull was born in Panama City, Florida, and attended Bay High School and Auburn University, where he graduated with his bachelors degree in small business management and entrepreneurship. After graduation he worked for his family's bottled water and water conditioning business as part of the management team. Panama City, Florida
Panama City is a city in and the county seat of Bay County, Florida, United States. Located along U.S. Highway 98 (US 98), it is the largest city between Tallahassee and Pensacola. It is the more populated city of the Panama City–Lynn Haven, Florida metropolitan statistical area. Panama City was severely damaged when Hurricane Michael made landfall as a Category 5 hurricane on October 10, 2018. As of the 2020 census, the population was 35,392, down from the figure of 36,484 at the 2010 census. George Gainer
George Gainer is an American politician who has served as a Republican member of the Florida Senate since 2016. He represents the 2nd district, encompassing Bay, Holmes, Jackson, Walton, Washington, and part of Okaloosa Counties, in the Florida Panhandle. He previously served as a Bay County commissioner, representing Tyndall AFB and other parts of southern Bay County, from 1968 to 1972 and 2002 to 2016. History Gainer was born in Jackson County and attended Gulf Coast Community College. His career in the automobile business began in 1966 and he is currently owner of Bay Lincoln Mercury Dodge Hyundai, Bay Suzuki, and Bay Ford in Blountstown. He is a member of the Panama City New Car Dealers Association and past officer of the Chrysler and Ford Dealer and Advertising Councils. Milton is a city in and the county seat of Santa Rosa County, Florida, located in the Pensacola– Ferry Pass– Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area, also known as the Pensacola Metropolitan Area.
