Florida's 22nd Congressional District
Florida's 22nd congressional district is a U.S. congressional district in Southeast Florida. It encompasses the coastline of Broward County to southern Palm Beach County. The district includes Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs and part of Pompano Beach. It also includes Florida Atlantic University and Port Everglades, the third busiest cruise port in the world. The district was most recently represented by Democrat Ted Deutch, who represented Florida's 22nd congressional district from 2017 after he was redistricted from Florida's 21st congressional district until his resignation on September 30, 2022. The new 22nd district has one of the highest populations of Jewish Americans in the country. In 2020, the election between two Jewish candidates, Democratic incumbent Rep. Lois Frankel
Lois Jane Frankel (born May 16, 1948) is an American politician and lawyer who has been the United States representative for Florida's 21st congressional district since 2017 and who represented Florida's 22nd congressional district from 2013 to 2017. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Frankel was a member of the Florida House of Representatives for fourteen years, serving as Minority Leader of the Florida State House. She was elected mayor of West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2003, serving two terms in office until leaving office in 2011 due to term limits. Florida's 18th Congressional District
Florida's 18th congressional district is an electoral district for the U.S. Congress, located in the Florida Heartland. In the 2020 redistricting cycle, the district was created as a new district, which includes the inland counties of DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, and Okeechobee, as well as most of Polk County (including Bartow, eastern Lakeland, and Winter Haven) and some of Immokalee in Collier County. The previous 18th district, located in the Treasure Coast, was instead renamed the 21st district. Allen West (politician)
Allen Bernard West (born February 7, 1961) is an American politician and retired military officer. A member of the Republican Party, West represented in the United States House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013 and served as the chairman of the Republican Party of Texas from 2020 to 2021. West was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and began his military career in 1983 after graduating from the University of Tennessee. He was deployed to Kuwait in 1991 and Iraq in 2003. Ronald Jason Klein ( ; born July 10, 1957) is an American politician and lawyer who is a former member of the United States House of Representatives for .
