Florencia Habif
Florencia Martina Habif (born 22 August 1993) is an Argentine field hockey player. Being part of Argentina's Junior National Team "Las Leoncitas" ("The Baby Lionesses") since 2009 and of the National Team Las Leonas ("The Lionesses") since 2010, she competed in several tournaments, including the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where the team achieved the silver medal, being the team's youngest player. In 2014, she was named the Best Young Player in the world by the International Hockey Federation and has been nomitaded 4 times. Florencia is also a player in the club Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires (GEBA) since she was 4 years old. Habif is part of the so-called New Generation of Argentina's Women's Field Hockey. 2016 Women's Hockey Champions Trophy
The 2016 Women's Hockey Champions Trophy was the 22nd edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy for women. It was held between 18 and 26 June 2016 in London, United Kingdom. Argentina won the tournament for a record seventh time after defeating the Netherlands 2–1 in the final. Format After three editions with two different formats, it was decided to go back to the same one used until the 2010 edition which consisted of a six-team, round robin tournament. Youth Olympic Games
The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is an international multi-sport event for athletes between 15 and 18 years old, organized by the International Olympic Committee. The games are held every four years in staggered summer and winter events consistent with the current Olympic Games format, though in reverse order with Olympic Winter Games held in leap years instead of Summer Olympic Games. The 2012 Women's Junior Pan-Am Championship was the 7th edition of the Women's Pan American Junior Championship. It was held from 10 – 23 September 2012 in Guadalajara, Mexico. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2013 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup, held in Mönchengladbach, Germany in July/August 2013. The 2013 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup was the seventh edition of the Women's Hockey Junior World Cup, held from 27 July to 4 August 2013 in Mönchengladbach, Germany. The Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, formerly known as the Women's Hockey Junior World Cup, is the field hockey Junior World Cup competition for women, with the format for qualification and the final tournament similar to the men's. It is organized by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and has been played since 1989. The tournament features players who are under 21 years of age and is held once every two years. The Women's Pan American Cup is a women's international field hockey tournament organized by the Pan American Hockey Federation. The winning team becomes the champion of the Americas and qualifies for the FIH Hockey World Cup. Argentina are the defending champions, winning the 2022 edition. The women's field hockey tournament at the 2015 Pan American Games was held in Toronto, Canada at the Pan Am / Parapan Am Fields from July 13 to 24.
