Floodgate Records was a part of the East West Records family of labels. It was founded in 2000 and managed by Tim Taber (formerly of The Prayer Chain). Distribution was through Word Records and marketing through Rocketown. Their first release was ''All I Have'', a worship album by Rita Springer. East West Records
East West Records (stylized as east''west'') is a record label formed in 1955, distributed and owned by Warner Music Group, headquartered in London, England. History Upon its creation in 1955 by Atlantic Records, the label had one hit with the Kingsmen's "Week End" and went into hibernation until 1990, when Atlantic revamped the imprint as EastWest Records America. In America, Atlantic senior VP Sylvia Rhone was appointed Chair/CEO of the fledgling label. Under Rhone's leadership, EastWest Records America shot to mega success with several multiplatinum acts such as En Vogue, Pantera, Yo-Yo, Adina Howard, Das EFX, Snow, Gerald Levert, AC/DC, The Rembrandts, Dream Theater, Missy Elliott and MC Lyte. East West (band)
East West was an American Christian rock band from Irvine, California, United States, who later re-located to Corona. The band takes its name from the Bible verse Psalms 103:12. While many members were replaced during East West's timeline, the best-known line-up included Mike Tubbs (vocals, guitar), Mike "House" Housen (guitar, vocals), James "JJ" Jenkins (electric bass, vocals), Bobby "Vee" Vegura (drums, percussion, vocals). In 2002, prior to the band's first US Tour, Housen departed and was replaced by Jon Druse. Number One Gun
Number One Gun was a Christian rock band from Chico, California, that was most recently signed to Tooth & Nail Records. They self-released their debut EP ''Forever'' in 2002, before releasing their follow-up albums '' Celebrate Mistakes'' (2003) on Floodgate Records and '' Promises for the Imperfect'' (2005) on Tooth & Nail Records. In 2006, members of Number One Gun decided to move on to different projects. Schneeweis created a new band called The North Pole Project, Keene and Mallory formed Surrogate, and Sellers moved on to play bass in the band Armed for Apocalypse. Kate Miner (musician)
Kate Miner (born Pamela Kate George) is an American singer and songwriter. Miner began singing publicly at the age of four in the San Diego area. At the age of ten, she was singing music for television commercials. By 21, Miner had moved to Los Angeles and was signed to a recording contract with Word Records, which included a co-publishing/development deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Sony Music Publishing. In the late 1980s, still known as Pam Dwinell, Miner toured with Phil Keaggy and Mark Heard. She went on to perform and record with artists like Tonio K, Pierce Pettis, Christopher Williams (singer), Christopher Williams, Michele Pillar, Randy Stonehill, The Choir (alternative rock band), The Choir, and FunderburkMiner. In 1992, Miner shared the stage with Heard during his final performance at the Cornerstone Festival. Heard had a heart attack and died the following month. Life in Your Way (also known as LIYW) is a Christian hardcore band from Connecticut. History Origins (1999-2002) The band was formed by two childhood friends Josh Kellam and Todd Mackey. Jeremy Kellam joined the band to play bass after the dissolution of his former band, which also included Casey McCue who played second guitar for a short period and was then replaced by Jason DiNitto. The band played many concerts throughout the Northeastern United States, quickly garnering acclaim and a rapidly multiplying fan-base. The band stayed a four piece for some time. The Insyderz
The Insyderz were an American Christian ska-punk band from Detroit, Michigan. They formed in 1996 and disbanded in 2005. The band reformed in 2009, but have not been actively playing shows in the last few years. The Insyderz are one of the "big three" bands which represented the Christian ska scene, alongside the Supertones and Five Iron Frenzy. Cool Hand Luke is a Christian band variously classified as alternative rock, progressive pop, indie, and emo and signed to Lujo Records on March 16, 2008. History Cool Hand Luke was formed by Brandon Morgan and Jason Hammil in 1998 while attending Middle Tennessee State University. The band's early music had a punk rock influence, although the range and scope of Cool Hand Luke's sound changed quickly after Mark Nicks joined the band.
