Flit (foaled 4 October 2016) is a Group 1 winning Australian thoroughbred racehorse. Background Flit was born and raised at Darley's Northwood Park property in Seymour, Victoria. She is sired by Champion stallion Medaglia d'Oro and is out of a Redoute's Choice mare named Glissade, who was Stakes placed as a 2 year old. Racing career 2018/19: two-year-old season Flit finished third at her first ever start in an 1100-metre maiden at Bendigo. A month later she was successful in the Group 3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes, where she finished a Dead heat winner. 2019/20 three-year-old season After running placings in the Percy Sykes Stakes and the Silver Shadow Stakes, Flit started the 11/8 favourite in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield Racecourse. Hugh Bowman
James Hugh Bowman is an Australian thoroughbred racing jockey. Based in Sydney, Bowman has won the New South Wales Metropolitan Jockey Premiership four times (2008/09, 2011/12, 2014/15, 2016/17) and has ridden 100 Group 1 winners. He was the jockey for Australian champion mare Winx from 2014 through to her retirement in 2019. In 2017, Bowman won the Longines World’s Best Jockey award presented by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities. The award capped off a year in which he added to his domestic success with international Group 1 wins in Hong Kong and Japan. Sadler's Wells (11 April 1981 – 26 April 2011) was an American-bred, Irish-trained champion Thoroughbred racehorse and outstanding sire. He was the 1984 European Champion miler after winning the Irish 2,000 Guineas, Eclipse Stakes and Phoenix Champion Stakes in that year. He also finished second in the French Derby and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Despite his success as a runner, it is as a sire that Sadler's Wells is best known. Tofane is a mountain group in the Dolomites of northern Italy, west of Cortina d'Ampezzo in the province of Belluno, Veneto. Most of the Tofane lies within ''Parco naturale delle Dolomiti d'Ampezzo'', a nature park. Alligator Blood (foaled 19 September 2016) is a multiple Group 1 winning Australian bred thoroughbred racehorse. Background Bred by Australian entrepreneur Gerry Harvey, Alligator Blood was sold at the 2018 Magic Millions sale (Lot 22) for A$55,000 to the Ezybonds No 1 Syndicate. Racing career Alligator Blood's first Group 1 victory was in the 2020 Australian Guineas. In early 2022, Alligator Blood was banned from racing in the state of New South Wales. Racing NSW stated this was due to the majority owner being an undischarged bankrupt and not meeting the standard for horse ownership in New South Wales. The Rosehill Gardens Racecourse is located in the Western Sydney suburb of Rosehill, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is operated by the Australian Turf Club.
