Flipnote Studio 3D
''Flipnote Studio 3D'', known in Japan as and originally announced as the working title/codename, ''Flipnote Memo'', is an animation application developed by Nintendo EAD Tokyo and released in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS. A successor to the original ''Flipnote Studio'', ''Flipnote Studio 3D'' allows users to use three separate layers to create stereoscopic 3D animations, which can be exported into GIF or AVI format. ''Flipnote Studio 3D'' initially launched with two online communities: ''Flipnote Gallery: Friends'' and ''Flipnote Gallery: World''. Both services have ceased operation. commonly abbreviated as Nintendo EAD and formerly known as Nintendo Research & Development No.4 Department (abbreviated as Nintendo R&D4), was the largest software development division within the Japanese video game company Nintendo. Nintendo Network
The Nintendo Network is Nintendo's online service which provides online functionality for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U systems and their compatible games. Announced on January 26, 2012 at an investors' conference, it is Nintendo's second online service after Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Former president of Nintendo Satoru Iwata said, "Unlike Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which has been focused upon specific functionalities and concepts, we are aiming to establish a platform where various services available through the network for our consumers shall be connected via Nintendo Network service so that the company can make comprehensive proposals to consumers." Flip Book
A flip book, flipbook, flicker book, or kineograph is a booklet with a series of images that very gradually change from one page to the next, so that when the pages are viewed in quick succession, the images appear to animate by simulating motion or some other change. Miiverse
Miiverse was a social network for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, created by Nintendo System Development and Hatena (company), Hatena, and powered by the Nintendo Network. Integrated into many games, Miiverse allowed players to interact and share their experiences by way of handwritten messages or drawings, text, screenshots, and sometimes game videos in dedicated communities. It was available via any web browser, and a dedicated Mobile app, app version originally planned for Tablet computer, tablets and smartphones.
