Fleshwrought (formerly known as Fleshrot) is an American progressive death metal band formed in 2003 by Navene Koperweis. They released their debut album, '' Dementia/Dyslexia'' in 2010, and are in the process of recording their second album. The band is noted for its founder Navene Koperweis, a multi-instrumentalist who engineers, produces, and plays all the instruments for the band's recordings. History Fleshwrought formed when Navene Koperweis teamed up with Nic Gauthier and made a demo at a friend's home. A live lineup followed, consisting of Koperweis, Gauthier, and Chase Fraser, with whom Koperweis had previously played in Animosity. The band played several shows in Santa Cruz, California, but later slowed down due to Animosity's high frequency tour schedule. Koperweis moved to San Francisco and continued writing material with his newly equipped gear, which included seven-string guitars, computers, and recording software. Navene Koperweis
Navene Koperweis (born May 31, 1985) is an American drummer, best known as the former drummer of Animosity, Hoods and Animals as Leaders. He currently plays for Entheos, and serves as session drummer for Job for a Cowboy and also Machine Head. Koperweis started drumming when he was eleven years old. He has played for The Faceless, and runs his technical death metal project, Fleshwrought, where he plays all instruments. He is also a dubstep/electronica producer, and is currently working on his debut electronic album. His influences include Tim Alexander, Joey Jordison, Kevin Talley, John Longstreth, Terry Bozzio, Skrillex, Noisia, and Deadmau5. Animosity was an American death metal band from San Francisco, California, formed in 2000. The band released three studio albums, toured in the United States and Europe, and disbanded in 2009. The classic lineup of Animosity consisted of vocalist Leo Miller, guitarists Frank Costa and Chase Fraser, bassist Evan Brewer and drummer Navene Koperweis. History Animosity formed in 2000 in San Francisco, California. They released their debut album, '' Shut It Down'', on Tribunal Records in 2003, when the members of the band were 16 and 17 years old. Necrophagist was a German technical death metal band founded and fronted by guitarist and vocalist Muhammed Suiçmez. The band used baroque music-influenced compositions paired with extreme metal drumming. The name originates from the Greek roots νεκρο- ''nekro-'' ("dead body") and -φαγος ''-'' ("eater of"). This figuratively translates to ''eater of the dead''; literally the ''eater of dead bodies''. History 1999–2004: ''Onset of Putrefaction'' and ''Epitaph'' Necrophagist's debut album ''Onset of Putrefaction'' has been out of print for years. Moritz Friedrich, better known by his stage name Siriusmo, is a Berlin-based German record producer. Initially influenced by Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Squarepusher, and Aphex Twin, his tracks can be broadly defined as electronic, and are formulated with a variety of samples. Biography The first band that Moritz Friedrich is known to have been in was a group called Sirius. After growing bored of playing the same songs, Moritz left Sirius, taking the band name with him. Tom Jenkinson (born 17 January 1975), known professionally as Squarepusher, is an English electronic musician, record producer, bassist, multi-instrumentalist and DJ. His music spans several genres including drum and bass, IDM, acid house, acid techno, jazz fusion, and electroacoustic music. His recordings are often typified by a combination of complex drum programming, live instrumental playing, and digital signal processing.
