Fixed At Zero
''Fixed at Zero'' is the first and only studio album by American experimental rock band VersaEmerge, released through Fueled by Ramen on June 22, 2010. The album was made available for pre-order on iTunes and the Fueled by Ramen store on May 11, 2010. The first single off the album, "Fixed at Zero", was released on July 13, 2010. The second single, "Your Own LoV.E.", was released on January 12, 2011. The third single, "Figure It Out", was released on April 6, 2011. Reception ''Fixed at Zero'' received positive reviews. Alternative Press gave the album 4 out of 5 stars, applauding the album on its broad dynamic range. AbsolutePunk praised the band's work on the album, stating "In a time where a lot of similar acts care more about style rather than substance, VersaEmerge is a breath of fresh air." VersaEmerge
Versa (stylized as VERSA) was an American rock duo formed in Port St. Lucie, Florida, in 2006, as VersaEmerge. The group consisted of Blake Harnage (guitar, vocals, and programming) and Sierra Kay (lead vocals). They had a revolving line-up, their most prolific being with bassist Devin Ingelido, who was a member from 2007 until 2011. Following self-releases, the band signed with record label Fueled by Ramen in late 2008 and released the '' VersaEmerge EP'' and their full-length debut '' Fixed at Zero'' (2010), which met with positive reviews from alternative critics. The album didn't enter the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, but it ranked third on the Billboard Top Heatseekers. After changing their name to Versa, the duo self-released the EP '' Neon'' on January 21, 2014. Kara Elizabeth DioGuardi (; born December 9, 1970) is an American songwriter, record producer, music publisher, A&R executive, and singer. She writes music primarily in the pop rock genre. DioGuardi has worked with many popular artists; sales of albums on which her songs appear exceed 160 million worldwide. Programming is a form of music production and performance using electronic devices and computer software, such as sequencers and workstations or hardware synthesizers, sampler and sequencers, to generate sounds of musical instruments.
