Five (Prince Royce Album)
''FIVE'' is the fifth studio album by American singer and songwriter Prince Royce. It was released on February 24, 2017 by Sony Music Latin. The album includes collaborations with artists such as Shakira, Chris Brown, Zendaya, Farruko, Gerardo Ortíz, Gente de Zona and Arturo Sandoval. Although the album contains some lyrics in English, it is Royce's first mainly Spanish-language album since '' Soy el Mismo'' in 2013. ''FIVE'', predominantly of the bachata genre, became Royce's fourth number-one album on the ''Billboard'' Top Latin Albums chart in the United States. The album was preceded by the release of its lead single, " Culpa al Corazón", on November 13, 2015. Four other singles were released to promote the album between 2016 and 2017: "La Carretera", " Moneda", "Ganas Locas", and "Déjà Vu". Prince Royce
Geoffrey Royce Rojas (born May 11, 1989), known professionally as Prince Royce, is an American singer. At an early age, Royce took an interest in music, and in his teenage years began experimenting with music and writing poetry. By age nineteen, Royce met Andrés Hidalgo, who became his manager. Hidalgo later introduced Royce to record producer Sergio George, who immediately signed him to his label after hearing three of his demos. In March 2010, Royce released his eponymous debut studio album, which generated two commercially successful singles, " Stand by Me" and " Corazón Sin Cara". In the United States, both songs reached number-one on the ''Billboard'' Tropical Songs chart, while "Corazón Sin Cara" reached number-one on the ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs chart. Lead Single
A lead single (also known as a debut single) is the first single to be released from a studio album by an artist or a band, usually before the album itself is released and also occasionally on the same day of the album's release date. Release strategies Artists often choose songs that are more up-tempo, yet representative of the album's sound, as lead singles. Such songs are often catchier and attract the attention of listeners. Top Latin Albums is a record chart published by ''Billboard'' magazine and is labeled as the most important music chart for Spanish language, full-length albums in the American music market. Like all ''Billboard'' album charts, the chart is based on sales. Nielsen SoundScan compiles the sales data from merchants representing more than 90 percent of the U.S. music retail market. The sample includes sales at music stores, the music departments of electronics and department stores, direct-to-consumer transactions, and Internet sales of physical albums or digital downloads. A limited array of verifiable sales from concert venues is also tabulated. To rank on this chart, an album must have 51% or more of its content recorded in Spanish. ''Soy El Mismo'' (English: "I'm the Same") is the third studio album by American singer Prince Royce. The album was released on October 8, 2013, by Sony Music Latin and became Royce's third number 1 on the ''Billboard'' Top Latin Albums chart in the United States. Arturo Sandoval
Arturo Sandoval is a Cuban-American jazz trumpeter, pianist, and composer. While living in his native Cuba, Sandoval was influenced by jazz musicians Charlie Parker, Clifford Brown, and Dizzy Gillespie. In 1977 he met Gillespie, who became his friend and mentor and helped him defect from Cuba while on tour with the United Nations Orchestra. Sandoval became an American naturalized citizen in 1998. Carlos Efrén Reyes Rosado (born May 2, 1991), better known by his stage name Farruko, is a retired Puerto Rican singer and rapper. He rose to fame collaborating with Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Don Omar, and J Álvarez. He came to prominence in 2010 with his debut studio album, ''El Talento Del Bloque''.
