Fismes station (French language, French: ''Gare de Fismes'') is a railway station located in the France, French municipality of Fismes, in the département of Marne (département), Marne. History Opened by the Compagnie des chemins de fer des Ardennes on 16 April 1862, the line between Soissons and Reims included a station in Fismes. Since 3 April 2016, the train link between Fismes and La Ferté-Milon Station, La Ferté-Milon has been replaced by a similar bus service. Services The station building is equipped with a passenger waiting room, staffed ticket window and automatic ticket vending machines. Fismes () is a Communes of France, commune in the Marne (department), Marne Departments of France, department in the Grand Est region of north-eastern France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Fismois'' or ''Fismoises'' The commune has been awarded three flowers in the ''Concours des villes et villages fleuris, Competition of cities and villages in Bloom''. Geography Fismes is located 25 km west by northwest of Reims and some 12 km east by southeast of Braine, Aisne, Braine. Access is by National Highway N31 from Reims through the heart of the commune and the town and continuing west to Soissons. There is also the D967 road from Longueval-Barbonval in the north to the town and continuing southwest to Chery-Chartreuve. Soissons
Soissons () is a commune in the northern French department of Aisne, in the region of Hauts-de-France. Located on the river Aisne, about northeast of Paris, it is one of the most ancient towns of France, and is probably the ancient capital of the Suessiones. Reims
Reims ( , , ; also spelled Rheims in English) is the most populous city in the French department of Marne, and the 12th most populous city in France. The city lies northeast of Paris on the Vesle river, a tributary of the Aisne. Founded by the Gauls, Reims became a major city in the Roman Empire. TER Grand Est or TER Fluo is the regional rail network serving the region of Grand Est, northeastern France. It is operated by the French national railway company SNCF. It was formed in 2016 from the previous TER networks TER Alsace, TER Lorraine and TER Champagne-Ardenne, when the respective regions were merged. History On 1st January 2016, the three administrative regions of Alsace, Lorraine and Champagne-Ardenne merged.
