Firebug (comics)
Firebug is the name of three DC Comics supervillains. Publication history The Joe Rigger version of Firebug debuted in ''Batman'' #318 and was created by Len Wein and Irv Novick. The Harlan Combs version of Firebug debuted in ''Gotham Central'' #3 and was created by Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark. The unnamed Firebug debuted in ''Deadshot'' (vol. 2) #1 and was created by Christos Gage Steven Cummings. Fictional character biographies Joe Rigger Firebug first appeared in ''Batman'' #318 (December 1979). Joe Rigger was a soldier and demolitions expert who returned to Gotham City when his family had been killed in three separate building-related accidents. His sanity slipping, Rigger vowed that those buildings would not kill again. Using his military training and a costume containing tanks of napalm, he became the Firebug and set out to burn all three buildings to the ground. Barbara Gordon
Barbara Gordon is a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with the superhero Batman. The character was created by television producer William Dozier, editor Julius Schwartz, writer Gardner Fox, and artist Carmine Infantino. Dozier, the producer of the 1960s ''Batman (TV series), Batman'' television series, requested Schwartz to call for a new female counterpart to the superhero Batman that could be introduced into publication and the third season of the show simultaneously. The Batman family enemies are a collection of supervillains appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. These characters are depicted as adversaries of the superhero Batman and his allies. Since Batman first appeared in ''Detective Comics'' #27 (May 1939), his supporting cast has expanded to include other superheroes, and has become what is now called the "List of Batman supporting characters#Bat-Family, Batman family". The Arkham Knight is an identity used by two supervillains appearing in media published by DC Entertainment. The original was created by Rocksteady Studios and DC writer Geoff Johns to serve as the titular villain in the 2015 video game '' Batman: Arkham Knight''. Killer Moth (Drury Walker) is a supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, usually as an adversary and dedicated original foil personality of Batman (prior to the creations of Wrath, Prometheus, and Hush).
