''Fire from the Tomb'' is the third studio album by American Christian metal band War of Ages, but it is a re-recording of their debut album, the self-titled ''War of Ages''. "The Awakening" is the only song on the album without a previously released version of itself on earlier War of Ages releases. The album was released on July 24, 2007 on Facedown Records. War of Ages (sometimes abbreviated WoA; formerly known as Point Zero) is an American Christian metal band formed in Erie, Pennsylvania, in 2002. The band's self-titled debut album ''War of Ages'' was released in 2005, and in February 2006, they were moved to the Facedown Records roster and recorded their second full-length album, ''Pride of the Wicked'', released in September 2006. ''Arise and Conquer'' was released in 2008. The band's fifth offering ''Eternal'', was released in 2010. Their seventh studio album '' Supreme Chaos'' was released in 2014. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Tim Lambesis
Timothy Peter Lambesis (born November 21, 1980) is an American musician and producer, best known as the founding member and lead vocalist of American metalcore band As I Lay Dying. He also had a solo/side thrash metal project in tribute to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Austrian Death Machine, in which he performed all the instruments. He also formed a death metal band called Pyrithion and played guitar for Society's Finest and Point of Recognition. Lambesis was arrested in 2013 after attempting to hire an undercover police officer to murder his wife. He pled guilty in 2014 and was sentenced to serve six years in prison.
