Finsoe
Finsoe S.p.A. (acronym of Finanziaria dell'economia Sociale) is an intermediate holding company for several coop societies of Coop (Italy). Finsoe was the major shareholders of Unipol (31.40% share capitals) and in the past, had a direct minority shareholding in Unipol Banca (sold to Unipol in August 2008). Until 2015 Unipol had two class of shares, making Finsoe hold 50.75% voting rights and 31.40% share capital on Unipol. However, in mid-2015 all shares were converted to ordinary shares. History Alliance with Casse Emiliano Romagnole From 1995 to 2001, Casse Emiliano Romagnole (CAER), the Bank Group of Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna (Carisbo), had a cross ownership with Finsoe. CAER was a minority shareholders of Finsoe for 9.80% in 1995 and Unipol (at that time Unipol Assicurazioni) had a minority ownership in CAER for 3.64%. Unipol Banca S.p.A. was an Italian bank based in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, prior to its acquisition by BPER Banca from the Unipol group in 2019. Unipol
Unipol Gruppo S.p.A. is an Italian financial services holding company operating in the insurance and banking fields with headquarters in the Unipol Tower, Bologna. As of 2009 it was ranked as the country's fourth-largest insurer. The company trades under a number of brands: for insurance it uses the brands UnipolSai Assicurazioni, Linear Assicurazioni, Linear Life, UniSalute and Arca Vita. History Unipol Assicurazioni was founded in 1962 in Bologna as a cooperative provider of non-life insurance. In 1995 the company entered a partnership arrangement with the banking group Casse Emiliano Romagnole, whereby Unipol sold its products through the bank's networks. Banca Agricola Mantovana S.p.A. (BAM) was an Italian bank based in Mantua, Lombardy. The bank was a subsidiary of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena. On 31 March 2008 the bank had a total assets of €13,502,864,975. History Found 1871 as Banca Agricola Provinciale Mantovana, Banca Agricola Mantovana (BAM) was a cooperative bank based in Mantua. In 1932 Banca Mutua Popolare di Mantova was merged with Banca Agricola Mantovana. In 1989 the bank absorbed Banca Operaia di Bologna. In 1998 the bank formed a joint venture agreement with Unipol in Quadrifoglio Vita, an insurance company that operated in BAM's network. BAM also acquired a minority ownership in Finsoe, the intermediate parent company of Unipol. As at 31 December 2000 BAM hold 5.601% of Finsoe. Gruppo Bancario Casse Emiliano Romagnole (CAER) was an Italian holding company and banking group, based in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna. The main company of the group was Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna (Carisbo).
