Finland National Rugby Sevens Team
The Finland national rugby union team represents Finland in men's international rugby union. The team is currently competing in the 2021/22 Rugby Europe Conference 2 North Division. The national side are ranked 71st in the world, as of 24 April 2023. History Finland played their first ever rugby international in 1982 against Switzerland, which they lost. Finland went on to win their first international in 1991, defeating Norway 18 points to 3 They played Monaco in 2002. Finland's attempt to qualify for the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France began in Round 1 of the European tournaments. Finnish Rugby Federation
The Finnish Rugby Federation (SRL) ( fi, Suomen Rugbyliitto) is recognised as the national governing body for rugby in Finland. It is a member of several organisations, including World Rugby and Rugby Europe. The SRL was founded in 1968 and has as its members Finnish rugby clubs and the Finland Rugby Referees Association. SRL's mission is to develop the sport in Finland and support the local clubs in their activities. The organisation is responsible for the Men's National XV Team, Men's National Sevens Team, Women's National XV Team, Women's National Sevens Team. The SRL also administers and organises domestic rugby competitions in Finland. Interest in rugby in Finland has increased in recent years and SRL strongly believes that rugby has a future in Finland, where team and contact sports are appreciated. BBRFC Celtic is a Belgian rugby union club in Brussels. The current club was born from the amalgamation of the Brussels Barbarians and the Brussels Celtics in 2014. The club is based at the VUB Sports Complex in Ixelles. The club has three male XVs teams, two women's team, two touch squads and a rugby school. 2018–19 Rugby Europe Conference
The 2018–19 Rugby Europe Conference is the third-level rugby union competition below the premier Championship and Trophy competitions. It is the third Conference under its new format. After Lithuania was promoted to the Trophy and Moldova relegated at the end of the 2017–18 season, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Hungary, Israel, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Sweden and Ukraine compete for the Conference 1 title. While after the relegation of Estonia and the promotion of Bulgaria, Andorra, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Norway, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia will compete for the Conference 2 title.
