Finland At The 2022 Winter Olympics
Finland competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, from 4 to 20 February 2022. Ice hockey player Valtteri Filppula was the country's flagbearer during the opening ceremony. Cross-country skier Krista Pärmäkoski was the flagbearer during the closing ceremony. Finland's final medal haul of two gold and eight total medals, including its first ever ice hockey gold, marked its best showing since winning four golds in 2002 and nine medals in 2006. Marko Anttila
Marko Anttila (born 27 May 1985) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward for Oulun Kärpät in the Finnish Liiga. Anttila was selected by Chicago Blackhawks in the 9th round (260th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. His nickname among his teammates is "Stretch" ("Stretsi" in Finnish), which was given to him by Steve Kariya due to his large physical stature, but among the Finnish fans, he is more commonly known as " Mörkö". Playing career Marko Anttila played his first senior-level ice hockey games during the 2003–04 season. Anttila's first team was his hometown team Lempäälän Kisa of Lempäälä. Joonas Aleksanteri Nättinen (born January 3, 1991) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player for HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career In 2008, Nättinen as a JYP-trained player began playing in the SM-liiga for the Espoo Blues. In the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, he was chosen in the third round, 65th overall, by the Montreal Canadiens. On 26 May 2011, Joonas signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Canadiens worth $1.825 million at the NHL level. Leonid Aleksandrovich Komarov (russian: Леонид Александрович Комаров, fi, Leonid "Leo" Aleksandrovitš Komarov; born 23 January 1987) is a professional ice hockey centre for Luleå HF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Juuso Hietanen (born 14 June 1985) is a Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman for HPK of the Liiga. Playing career Hietanen made his SM-liiga debut with HPK during the 2003–04 season, and two years later he became a regular player on the team. Kari Markus Granlund (born 16 April 1993) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward, who most recently played for Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
