Finland Davis Cup Team
The Finland men's national tennis team represents Finland in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Suomen Tennisliitto. Finland currently compete in the Europe/Africa Zone Group I. They have reached the World Group play-offs three times. In 1999, they came within one set of promotion. History Finland competed in its first Davis Cup in 1928 and 2023. Jarkko Nieminen
Jarkko Kalervo Nieminen (born 23 July 1981) is a Finnish former professional tennis player. His highest ranking of world No. 13, achieved in July 2006, is a Finnish record. He has won two Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP singles titles and five doubles titles in his career. The Finland Billie Jean King Cup team represents Finland in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Suomen Tennisliitto. Harri Heliövaara
Harri Heliövaara (born 4 June 1989) is a Finnish tennis player. His highest ranking in singles is World No. 194, which he achieved on 19 December 2011. His highest ranking in doubles is world No. 9, which he achieved on 9 January 2023. In doubles he has won four ATP Tour titles, his first alongside Lloyd Glasspool at the 2021 Open 13, thirteen ATP Challenger tournaments, his first in 2011 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He has also won 20 ITF Futures in doubles and eight ITF Futures tournaments in singles. He won the 2007 Australian Open boys' doubles title with Graeme Dyce. Emil Ruusuvuori (; born 2 April 1999) is a Finnish professional tennis player. He reached a career high ATP singles ranking of World No. 41 on 31 October 2022. 1928 International Lawn Tennis Challenge
The 1928 International Lawn Tennis Challenge was the 23rd edition of what is now known as the Davis Cup. 27 teams would enter the Europe Zone, while six would enter the America Zone. Chile, Finland, and Norway made their first appearances in the competition.
