"Find the River" is a song by American rock band R.E.M., released on November 29, 1993 as the sixth and final single from their eighth album, ''Automatic for the People'' (1992). Background Regarding the song's backing vocals, Mike Mills explained to ''Melody Maker'' Reception "Find the River" reached number 54 on the UK Singles Charts in December 1993. It did not chart in the US. It was one of only three R.E.M. singles released in the 1990s (out of a total of 24) to not make the Top 40 in Britain. In a 1992 review of ''Automatic for the People'', Rolling Stone writer Paul Evans said, "R.E.M. has never made music more gorgeous" than "Find the River", calling it a "masterpiece". ''DV'' (''Dagblaðið Vísir'') is an online newspaper in Iceland published by Torg ehf. It came into existence as a daily newspaper in 1981 when two formerly independent newspapers, Vísir and Dagblaðið, merged. Early on it was one of the largest newspapers in Iceland and at one point had a 64% readership in Iceland. In the 1990s its readership started to dwindle and in 2003 its publisher was declared bankrupt. It was resurrected a week later by the publisher of Fréttablaðið. "Orange Crush" is a song by the American alternative rock band R.E.M. It was released as the first single from the band's sixth studio album, ''Green'', in 1988. It was not commercially released in the U.S. despite reaching number one as a promotional single on both the Mainstream and Modern Rock Tracks (where, at the time, it had the record for longest stay at number one with eight weeks, beating U2). Jodi Wille is an American film director, curator, and book publisher known for her work exploring American subcultures. Filmmaking and Photography Wille directed and produced '' The Source Family'' (2013), her first feature-length documentary, with Maria Demopoulos.
