Finbarr O'Neill (businessman)
Finbarr O'Neill is an American automobile industry executive. He is currently chairman of APCO Holdings and former CEO of J.D. Power. He also served as the chief executive of Hyundai Motor America and Mitsubishi Motors North America. Biography O'Neill was born on a farm in Cookstown in Northern Ireland. He emigrated to the United States with his family when he was 10 years old and grew up in the Bronx. He attended St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School, received his B.A. in political science from Columbia University and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. He also earned an MBA from California State University, Dominguez Hills. O'Neill worked as an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom after law school. He then served as senior counsel at Toyota Motor Sales, USA, before joining Hyundai Motor Company as general counsel in 1985. Cookstown
Cookstown ( ga, An Chorr Chríochach, IPA: anˠˈxoːɾˠɾˠˈçɾʲiːxəx is a small town in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is the fourth largest town in the county and had a population of 11,599 in the 2011 census. It, along with Magherafelt and Dungannon, is one of the main towns in the Mid-Ulster council area. It was founded around 1620 when the townlands in the area were leased by an English ecclesiastical lawyer, Dr. Alan Cooke, from the Archbishop of Armagh, who had been granted the lands after the Flight of the Earls during the Plantation of Ulster. It was one of the main centres of the linen industry west of the River Bann, and until 1956, the processes of flax spinning, weaving, bleaching and beetling were carried out in the town. The is a group of autonomous Japanese multinational companies in a variety of industries. Founded by Yatarō Iwasaki in 1870, the Mitsubishi Group historically descended from the Mitsubishi zaibatsu, a unified company which existed from 1870 to 1946.
