Anton Fils
Anton Fils (also Antonín Fils, Johann Anton Fils, Johann Anton Filtz), 22 September 1733 (baptized) – 14 March 1760 (buried) was a German classical composer. Fils was born in Eichstätt, in the Bishopric of Eichstätt. Long thought to have been of Bohemian origin (e.g., ), despite having been described as "from Bavaria" by Friedrich Wilhelm Marpurg in 1756, his true origins were discovered in the 1960s . Fils studied law and theology at the University of Ingolstadt, and in 1754 became part of the "Mannheimer Hofkapelle" as a cellist. The Mannheim orchestra at the time was led by Johann Stamitz . In 1757 Fils married Elizabeth Range, and in 1759 the couple bought a house. Although he died at age 26, he left an extensive body of work, including at least thirty-four symphonies. Although he composed about thirty concertos, mainly for cello and for flute, only about half have survived . Fils died in Mannheim and was buried on 14 March 1760 . Fils has a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) singles ranking of world No. 260, which he achieved on 7 November 2022. The fils (Arabic: فلس) is a subdivision of currency used in some Arab countries, such as Iraq and Bahrain. The term is a modern retranscription of ''fals'', an early medieval Arab coin. "Fils" is the singular form in Arabic, not plural (as its final consonant might indicate to an English speaker). Fils (river)
The Fils is a river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, a right tributary of the Neckar. Its source is in the Swabian Alb hills near Wiesensteig. It flows through Geislingen (Steige) and Göppingen to join the Neckar east of Stuttgart, in Plochingen. Due to the contribution of the Fils, the Neckar is navigable from there. Geography Course The Fils has its source on the Swabian Alb about two kilometers southwest of the town Wiesensteig. Its karst spring, the Filsursprung, lies at 624.9 m in the Hasental valley, which has remained close to nature. There are two more springs a little further down, the Kleiner Filsursprung on the right and the Hasenquelle on the left at the foot of the slope. Firestone Indy Lights Series
Indy NXT, previously Indy Lights, is an American developmental automobile racing series sanctioned by IndyCar, currently known as Firestone Indy NXT Series for sponsorship reasons. Indy Lights is the highest step on the Road to Indy, a program of racing series leading up to the IndyCar Series. The Indy Lights series has been promoted by Anderson Promotions since 2014, which also manages the Road to Indy program. A similar series named Indy Lights filled the developmental role for the CART series, and ran from 1986 to 1993 as the American Racing Series and Dayton Indy Lights from 1991 to 2001.
