Filipinos in Thailand are either migrants or descendants of migrants from the Philippines. They are most likely married with Thais and settle in Thailand for many years. Nowadays, more Filipinos going to Thailand to work as overseas Filipino workers. Most of them are working as English teachers. There are many Filipino community groups and associations. Bangkok, officially known in Thai language, Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon and colloquially as Krung Thep, is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. Toon Hiranyasap
Toon Hiranyasap ( th, ทูน หิรัญทรัพย์; born October 24, 1954) is a Thai actor and singer. He is known for his work with Jarunee Suksawat. Early life and education Hiranyasap was born to a Thai mother and a Filipino father, who died since Hiranyasap was at a young age. Shortly after graduated from Ruamrudee International School, he travelled to Tanzania with his stepfather for a year then came back to Thailand. He graduated with a Graphic Design degree from Victoria University, Australia. The Philippines–Thailand relations refers to the bilateral relations between the Republic of the Philippines and the Kingdom of Thailand. The Philippines established formal diplomatic relations with Thailand on June 14, 1949. The relations between the two are described as warm and friendly. The Lahu people ( Lāhùzú; Lahu: ''Ladhulsi'' / ''Kawzhawd''; vi, La Hủ) are an ethnic group of China and Mainland Southeast Asia. Etymology The Chinese name "Lahu" literally means "to drag favour from heaven" (拉, lā, "to drag"; 祜, hù, "blessing, favour"). Maliwan Jimena
Maliwan ( my, မလိဝမ်း; th, มะลิวัลย์; ) is a village in Kawthaung Township in southern Myanmar near the border with Thailand. It was settled by Chinese and Thai people. The area is known for its hot springs and waterfall. In 1872 the mayor of the third Mergui district, Sir Ashly Din (1870-1875), appointed the first police officer to Maliwan. Johny Anfone ( th, จอนนี่ แอนโฟเน; October 28, 1969) is a Thai actor, host, singer and politician. He is a former member of a Thai string combo band, GRAND EX. His best known international work is portraiting Lord Worawongsa in the 2001 Thai epic film ''The Legend of Suriyothai''.
