Filipe Andrade Teixeira (; born 2 October 1980) is a Portuguese retired footballer. Regarded as technical and creative, he was capable of playing in several midfield positions, and he competed professionally in five countries his own notwithstanding, mainly Romania. Club career Early years Born in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Teixeira started his senior career with Felgueiras in the Segunda Liga, being an automatic first-choice since the age of 18. After a career-best nine goals in 2000–01 season, he returned to his nation of birth – his parents were Portuguese immigrants – and signed with Ligue 2 club Istres. Barnsley () is a market town in South Yorkshire, England. As the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley and the fourth largest settlement in South Yorkshire. The Portugal national under-21 football team is the national under-21 football team of Portugal and is controlled by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). They are nicknamed ''"Esperanças."'' ''Esperança'' means hope, thus they are Portugal's hopes for the future. Following the realignment of UEFA's youth competitions in 1976, the Portuguese under-21 team was formed. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system.
