Filip Mešár
Filip Mešár (born 3 January 2004) is a Slovak junior ice hockey forward currently playing for the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) as a prospect to the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). Mešár was selected by the Canadiens in the first-round, 26th overall, in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Slovakia Mešár began his professional career with HK Poprad, competing first with the under-16 and under-18 teams. He moved up to the senior team in the Tipos Extraliga for the 2020–21 season. He was only 16 when he entered the adult league, noting later that some of his teammates had children his own age, and attracted media attention when he scored a goal on his first shift. He played 36 games in the regular season, and then participated in the team's deep run to the playoff finals, where they were defeated by HKM Zvolen. Spišská Belá (german: Zipser Bela; hu, Szepesbéla; pl, Biała Spiska) is a town in the Kežmarok District in the Prešov Region in Spiš in northern Slovakia. 2021–22 Slovak Extraliga Season
The 2021–22 Slovak Extraliga season was the 29th season of the Slovak Extraliga, the highest ice hockey league in Slovakia. Team changes The newly established hockey club HC 21 Prešov replaced HC 07 Detva in Tipos extraliga from this season as Prešov should be made up of Detva players. After three seasons in Slovak Extraliga, the Hungarian team DVTK Jegesmedvék left the league to participate in the Erste Liga. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). Kent Hughes (ice Hockey)
Kent Hughes (born January 21, 1970) is a Canadian former ice hockey player and player agent, and the current general manager of the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). Early life and career A Montreal native, Hughes grew up in the West Island (Pierrefonds and Beaconsfield, Quebec) and played bantam AA hockey for the West Island Royals and midget AAA for the Lac St-Louis Lions. In 1987–88, he played for the Cégep de Saint-Laurent Patriotes, helping his team win the league championship. He later attended Middlebury College, where he was the captain of the hockey team for the 1991-92 season. Šimon Nemec (born 15 February 2004) is a Slovak professional ice hockey defenceman for the Utica Comets in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). Tyler Toffoli ( ; born April 24, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL).
