Filip Despotovski
Filip Despotovski ( Macedonian: Филип Дecпoтoвcки; born 18 November 1982 in Skopje, Macedonia) is a Macedonian football midfielder who plays for Gostivar. Professional career Early career Filip Despotovski started his career in Macedonia in FK Vardar's youth school, SSK Mladinec, but would sign his first professional contract with Cementarnica 55. In his first professional season, Despotovski made 19 appearances and scored 4 goals for Cementarnica 55, which immediately earned him a transfer to prominent Serbian club OFK Beograd in summer 2002. In his first season with OFK, Despotovski made 17 appearances and scored 1 goal to help the team to a third-place league finish. The following season though, Despotovski was no longer a starter, and he would move on from the club. Skopje
Skopje ( , , ; mk, Скопје ; sq, Shkup) is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia. It is the country's political, cultural, economic, and academic centre. Macedonia National Football Team
The North Macedonia national football team ( mk, Фудбалска репрезентација на Северна Македонија, Fudbalska reprezentacija na Severna Makedonija) represents North Macedonia in men's international football, and is administered by the Football Federation of Macedonia. Zlatko Tanevski
Zlatko Tanevski ( mk, Златко Таневски; born 3 August 1983) is a Macedonian retired professional footballer who played as a defender. Club career Tanevski was born in Skopje. He joined Lech Poznań from Vardar Skopje in February 2007. Tanevski also played for Cementarnica Skopje. Tanevski's contract with Lech Poznań expired in the summer of 2010 and he signed with Polish team GKS Bełchatów on 17 June 2010. In January 2012 he rejoined Vardar. Goran Popov
Goran Popov ( mk, Горан Попов; born 2 October 1984) is a retired Macedonian footballer, who played as a defender. Popov started his career with local side Belasica and moved to Greece with Proodeftiki and AEK Athens. He signed for Red Star Belgrade in 2004 but injuries prevented him from making an impact and he returned to Greek football with Egaleo after a short loan spell in Poland with Odra Wodzisław. Egaleo were relegated in 2007 and Popov joined Levadiakos before moving to Dutch club Heerenveen in July 2008. At Heerenveen he finally found some success and won the KNVB Cup in 2009 scoring in the final against FC Twente. After good form in European competitions Popov signed for Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv. Goran Pandev
Goran Pandev ( mk, Горан Пандев, ; born 27 July 1983) is a Macedonian former professional footballer who played as a forward. After establishing himself at Lazio, Pandev moved to Inter Milan in early 2010. While playing for the ''Nerazzurri'', Pandev collected a host of honours including winning the Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Champions League in 2010 as part of a treble for the club. On 22 April 2021, he became the first Macedonian to score 100 goals in one of the top five European football leagues. He was the captain of the North Macedonia national team until deciding to retire from international football in 2021, following UEFA Euro 2020. He is the country's all-time top scorer with 38 goals. FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Шахтар» Донецьк , short nickname "miners") is a Ukrainian professional football club from the city of Donetsk. In 2014, due to the War in Donbass, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and had played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. The Ukrainian Cup ( uk, Кубок України) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup. Current format The format of this competition consists of two stages: a qualification stage with two rounds followed by the main event (four rounds and the final game). The competition involves all professional clubs plus the two finalists of the Ukrainian Amateur Cup (since 2011).
