Fiji Military Forces Band
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Band also commonly known as the RFMF Band is a 50 member brass band from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces. The RFMF Band has been widely known as musical ambassadors for Fiji. The band was established during World War I as the Suva Town Band. It was disbanded following the outbreak of World War II. It was reformed in 1941 as the 1st Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment band, of which members were in active service in the Solomon Islands. Between 1968 and 2017, the band was engaged in many performances around the world including the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. In September 1965, it took part in the Royal Marines Tattoo at Madison Square Garden, five years before it gained independence from the United Kingdom. In 2016, the band was invited to perform during the Queens 90th birthday celebrations at Windsor Castle. Suva

A military band is a group of personnel that performs musical duties for military functions, usually for the armed forces. A typical military band consists mostly of wind and percussion instruments. The conductor of a band commonly bears the title of Bandmaster or Director of Music. Ottoman military bands are thought to be the oldest variety of military marching bands in the world, dating from the 13th century. The military band is capable of playing ceremonial and marching music, including the national anthems and patriotic songs of not only their own nation but others as well, both while stationary and as a marching band. Indian Military Bands
The Indian military bands consists of musicians from the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Indian military bands regularly participate in international festivals and take part in celebrations dedicated to various national events. These bands are permanent participants in the Delhi Republic Day parade on the Rajpath. Today, the Indian Armed Forces have more than 50 military brass bands and 400 pipe bands and corps of drums. The Central Military Band of People's Liberation Army of China ( zh, 中国人民解放军军乐团) is a military music unit made for state ceremonies carried out by the People's Liberation Army of China. For more than 50 years, the band has acted as the musical branch of the PLA. Jioji Konrote
Major-General Jioji Konousi "George" Konrote, (born 26 December 1947) is a Fijian politician and retired Major-General of the Fiji Military who served as the President of Fiji from 2015 to 2021. After commanding a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, Konrote served as Fiji's High Commissioner to Australia from 2001 to 2006, as Minister of State for Immigration briefly in 2006, and as Minister for Employment Opportunities, Productivity and Industrial Relations from 2014 to 2015. He was the first non-iTaukei president (as he is Rotuman), the first not to be a chief, and the first Seventh-day Adventist to be elected by parliament, as previous presidents were selected by the Great Council of Chiefs. A military tattoo is a performance of music or display of armed forces in general. The term comes from the early 17th-century Dutch phrase ''doe den tap toe'' ("turn off the tap"), a signal sounded by drummers or trumpeters to instruct innkeepers near military garrisons to stop serving beer and for soldiers to return to their barracks and is unrelated to the Tahitian origins of an ink tattoo. The tattoo was originally a form of military music but the practice has evolved into more elaborate shows involving theatrics and musical performances.
