Fifth Naveen Patnaik Ministry
Naveen Patnaik was elected as Chief Minister of Odisha for the fifth time in 2019. The ministry is informally known as Naveen 5.O. Here is the list of his ministers: Council of Ministers The Total Strength of Minister is 21 out of Sanctioned Strength of 22. The total number of cabinet ministers is 16 out of which 3 are women. The total number of ministers of state is 5 out of which 2 are women. All Minister of State are having Independent Charges. Cabinet Reshuffle Entire cabinet was reshuffled on 5 June 2022. All ministers of previous cabinet resigned on 4 June 2022. Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal administered the oath to the new ministers. Thirteen ministers were sworn in with Cabinet rank while eight were inducted as ministers of state. Nine ministers of the previous cabinet were retained. In a first, five women joined the ministry. Odisha
Odisha (English: , ), formerly Orissa ( the official name until 2011), is an Indian state located in Eastern India. It is the 8th largest state by area, and the 11th largest by population. The state has the third largest population of Scheduled Tribes in India. It neighbours the states of Jharkhand and West Bengal to the north, Chhattisgarh to the west, and Andhra Pradesh to the south. Odisha has a coastline of along the Bay of Bengal in Indian Ocean. The region is also known as Utkala and is also mentioned in India's national anthem, " Jana Gana Mana". The ancient kingdom of Kalinga, which was invaded by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka (which was again won back from them by King Kharavela) in 261 BCE resulting in the Kalinga War, coincides with the borders of modern-day Odisha.
