Ferried Naciri
Ferried Naciri (born 12 February 1989) is a Belgian basketball coach. He has been an assistant and head coach for several clubs in Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands. He is current an assistant coach for EWE Baskets Oldenburg of the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). Coaching career Naciri started coaching in 2004 with local youth teams. In 2012, he was the assistant coach of the women's team of DBC Houthalen in the Belgian Women's League. In 2013, he started his coaching career at Leuven Bears, initially training youth teams and the second team. In 2014, Naciri was appointed the assistant coach. In 2016, he became the head coach of Leuven Bears in the Belgian Pro Basketball League. Naciri signed with Aris Leeuwarden in the Netherlands for the 2019–20 season. He coached Aris to its first-ever NBB Cup final before the season was ended early because of the COVID-19 pandemic. After the 2020–21 season, he left Aris. Leuven Bears, for sponsorship reasons also called Stella Artois Leuven Bears, is a Belgian professional basketball club from Leuven. The club competes in the BNXT League, the highest tier in Belgian basketball. History The team has played in the Belgian First Division since 1999 and has participated in the Belgian Cup since 1954, winning the tournament in 2005. The Pro Basketball League (PBL), was the highest tier level professional basketball league in Belgium for clubs. In 2021, the league was succeeded by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. Through 2014, for sponsorship reasons, the league was previously known as the Ethias League, and from 2014 to 2016, it was known as the Scoore! League, also for sponsorship reasons. NBB Cup
The Basketball Cup, formerly the NBB Cup ( nl, NBB-Beker), is an annual cup competition for Dutch basketball teams organised by the Basketball Nederland. Every team in the Netherlands can participate by signing up for the preliminary rounds. Professional basketball teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the tournament in the fourth round. From 1977 until 1990 professional teams were not allowed to participate in the competition. The tournament is organized in a knock-out format, with quarter- and semi-finals being two-legged series while the final is played in a single game.
