Fernando Silva (born 17 December 1972) is a Portuguese badminton player. He competed in Badminton at the 1992 Summer Olympics, two events at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He won 4 bronze medals at the BWF World Senior Championships. Fernando Dinarte Santos Silva (born 3 October 1980), known simply as Fernando, is a Portuguese retired footballer. Mainly a central defender, he could also play as a defensive midfielder. Football career Fernando was born in Funchal, Madeira. After also playing youth football there he was promoted to local powerhouse C.S. Marítimo's first team for the 1999–2000 season, but served only as a backup for the vast majority of his 12-year spell. On 30 September 2007, in a 1–1 away draw against C.F. Estrela da Amadora, Fernando scored the club's historical 1,000 goal in the Primeira Liga. However, he appeared in just five games during that campaign. Fernando Sérgio Rigor Silva (born 1 March 1980) is a Portuguese former long-distance runner who competed at distances from 3000 metres to the marathon. He represented his country in the marathon at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics and the 2010 European Athletics Championships. Fernando Souza da Silva (born 7 April 1986 in Rio de Janeiro) is an Olympic and national record holding swimmer from Brazil. He swam for Brazil at the 2008 Olympics, as a member of the men's 4×100-metre freestyle relay. Until 2006, Fernando did not swim 50-metre and 100-metre freestyle; he was a butterfly stroke specialist. As he began to achieve good results in the faster swimming races, he became a sprinter and established himself as one of the best in his country. His illustrations have been shown on magazine covers, book illustrations, newspaper advertisements and various mediums of graphic representation. Fernando da Silva Cabrita (1 May 1923 – 22 September 2014) was a Portuguese football forward and manager. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 295 games and 88 goals over the course of 14 seasons, in representation of Olhanense and Sporting da Covilhã.
