Fernando Ocampo
Fernando Hizon Ocampo, Sr. (August 7, 1897 – 1984) was a Filipino architect and civil engineer. Biography Fernando Hizon Ocampo, Sr., A.B., B.S.C.E., B.S. Arch., was born on August 7, 1897, in San Fernando, Pampanga, he was the son of Dr. Basilio Ocampo a gobernadorcillo of San Fernando Pampanga and Leoncia Hizon-Ocampo. One of Manila's renowned architects and Civil Engineer. Ocampo was educated at the ADMU A.B., in 1914; UST College of Engineering, B.S. in Civil Engineering, 1919; and University of Pennsylvania, B.S. in Architecture, 1921. Calvo Building
The Calvo Building is a historic building along no. 266 Escolta corner Soda Streets, Binondo, Manila, Philippines. Built in 1938, it is an outstanding example of Beaux-Arts architecture, beaux-arts architecture. It served as the home of the radio station DZBB-AM before moving to its present location in Diliman, Quezon City. It now houses the Escolta Museum which contains memorabilia from the past. Andrés Luna De San Pedro
Andrés Pardo de Tavera Luna (September 9, 1887 – January 22, 1952) was a Filipino architect who built the first air-conditioned building in the Philippines, the Crystal Arcade one of the popular tenant of Manila Stock Exchange (previous site of Paseo de Escolta) Building (now present site of City College of Manila-Escolta Building, demolished in 2016) that was once located on No. 71 Escolta Street, Binondo, Manila. He was assigned as the city architect of the City of Manila from 1920 to 1924. His designs were modernist. Some of them were lost during World War II. Regina Building, previously known as Roxas Building, is a historic building located along Escolta Street in Binondo, Manila, Philippines. It was designed sequentially by Andrés Luna de San Pedro and Fernando H. Ocampo. The neoclassical beaux-arts commercial structure was built in 1915. History Regina Building, originally known as Roxas Building was designed by Andres Luna de San Pedro, son of Juan Luna and was built in 1915 at the corner of Escolta Street and Calle David in Binondo, Manila. Escolta Street
Escolta Street (lit: Escort) is a historic east–west street located in the old downtown district of Binondo in Manila, Philippines. It runs parallel to the Pasig River, from Plaza Santa Cruz to Plaza Moraga and Quintin Paredes Street. The street is home to several fine examples of early skyscraper design in the Philippines.
